An interesting and exciting country walks, on the high green hills and valley of the scenic Langtang Himal range. The first section of the adventure is on moderate trails, with slow uphill to enter the beautiful forest. Covered in lovely tall tree lines of rhododendron, pines with thick bamboo grooves, and lush green vegetation.
As the trek progresses follow the river gorge on a high hill route to Langtang village, adorned with Buddhist prayer monuments. Having time to explore the nice traditional village, which has changed over the years, after a big earthquake in 2015. The tremor destroyed many houses and human life, a memorial is placed near the present newly built village. From Lama Hotel, head up to an open wide Langtang Valley, where Kyanjin Gompa is located.
A large settlement amidst beautiful and picturesque surroundings is enclosed within the giant peaks of Langtang Himal. Enjoy the full rest day at magnificent Langtang Valley and Kyanjin Gompa. Interested people can hike to scenic viewpoints on top Kyanjin-Ri or Tserko-Ri above 4,500 m high. Rewards spectacular panorama of all Langtang, Jugal Himal range with some peaks across the border in Tibet.
After a wonderful rest day at Kyanjin Gompa, a perfect spot and height for acclimatization before heading towards high Gosainkunda.
From Kyanjin Gompa, return walks back to the dense forest at Lama Hotel, and then our route diverts to higher terrains. Enjoy the climb to Thulo Syabru a nice farm village, the climb continues to another lovely village at Sing Gompa.
Located on the main route to the high holy lakes of Gosainkunda, a scenic climb facing outstanding views of the Western Himalayas. Includes close vista of Ganesh, Manaslu, and Annapurna Himalayas towards the far west with Langtang Himal in the north. A steep climb leads to the top of Laurabinaya west ridge, enjoy the breathtaking panorama of surrounding beautiful landscapes and snow peaks.
The walk gets better on a pleasant trail reaching the main highlight at Gosainkunda glacial lake. One of the sacred and holiest of all holy places around the Himalayas range. A great religious festival is held called ‘Jana-Purnima’ falls during the auspicious time of August; as per the Hindu Lunar calendar.
Located on a basin within a tranquil environment surrounded by high rocky cliffs, ridges, and snow peaks. After feeling in high spirits, and being blessed visiting the holy spot, the return journey leads towards the highest point of an adventure.
Reaching on top of East Laurabinaya and Gosainkunda-La Pass at 4,600 m / 15,092 feet high.
From the tallest spot of the trek, a long descent leads towards beautiful areas of Helambu to Ghopte. The adventure then follows to a high scenic hill of Thadepati, entering into Helambu areas at Melamche farm village. A lovely settlement with every house decorated with impressive Buddhism cultural arts and carvings.
After Melamche village few hours' climbs to the main village of Helambu reaching Tarke-Gyang, a charming nice village. Having an ample time to explore the village and visit the old interesting monastery Ama Yangri situated on top of a village.
From this exciting Tarke-Gyang village of Hyalmo, the indigenous tribes of Helambu, walk leads to another lovely Sermathang village.
Enjoying the grand views of Jugal Himalayan range peaks with the backdrop of Helambu village’s immense cultures. Slowly the trek completes taking an interesting drive to Kathmandu. After a grand marvelous adventure and experience on Langtang Valley-Gosainkunda & Helambu Trekking.
