Langtang Valley and Gosainkunda Trekking of less than two-week adventure leading to the high country of Rasuwa district. Exploring traditional villages of Tamang the indigenous ancient tribes of Central and Langtang Himalaya range.
Observing the local immense cultures of impressive Buddhism religion, as walk leads on the high scenic Langtang Valley. Where nice large settlement of Kyanjin Gompa is located amidst towering staggering snow-capped peaks.
Enjoy a free day at the beautiful location of Kyanjin Gompa, a perfect spot and height for acclimatization. As well as explore its spectacular view-point hills of high Kyanjin-Ri and Tserko-Ri, which offer a mind-blowing panorama of surrounding beautiful landscapes. Facing arrays of giant snow peaks of Langtang, Jugal Himal with peaks of Tibet, as far towards Mt. Dorje Lakpa.
After an enjoyable, pleasant stop at Kyanjin Gompa around Langtang valley, the next part of the adventure, leads to higher terrain. Walk on the same route for short while and then the route diverts towards the holy glacial lake of Gosainkunda.
A climb to Thulo / Upper Syabru, perched on a high ridge of an interesting Tamang village, witness the local custom. The trek follows a high route through dense rhododendron and pine forest to Sing Gompa.
The adventure continues with a steep climb on leaving the tall tree lines, with stunning views of Ganesh, Langtang.
Includes grand panorama of Manaslu Himal as far as the Annapurna Himal range, from the high ridges of Laurabinaya.
From the top of Laurabinaya enter the high country of holy Gosainkunda, filled with glacial crystal-clear icy lakes. Gosainkunda in early times with 108 lakes, at present half a dozen can be seen during the trek.
For Hindu religion is a sacred place, where thousands of pilgrims and devotees visit, at a good time of the year.
Especially during Janai Purnima a religious festival, that takes place on the Full-Moon auspicious day of August, as per the Hindu calendar. The Hindu followers visit for a dip and bathe in the lake performing religious rites.
From the holy spot of Gosainkunda, adventure follows towards a high eastern Laurabinaya-La or Gosainkunda Pass at above 4,600 m. Enjoy the dramatic views of surrounding landscapes of deep valleys, gorges, and high green hills with distant snow peaks.
A long descent leads to the base of the pass to enter a thick forest of juniper, pines, and rhododendron to reach Ghopte. A place with an overhanging cave, where the name Ghopte derived from, in the early day, it provided a good shelter for pilgrims.
Slowly the walk enters the Helambu region at Kutumsang and Gul-Bhanjyang lovely villages of Tamang, Sherpa, and Hyalmo.
An exciting walk following a down and uphill ridge line to Chisapani, situated on a high ridge above Kathmandu valley. A scenic spot for stunning sunrise and sunset views reflects over a chain of Central Himalayan peaks. After a marvelous time on the high hills of the Langtang Himal range, the end of the walk heads downhill.
Reaching Sundarijal a farm town, located North East of Kathmandu valley rim, a short drive brings you to Kathmandu. After a wonderful adventure of great cultural and scenic experience on Langtang Valley & Gosainkund Trekking.
